On September 11, 2026, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office designated Smolny Beyond Borders an “undesirable organization” in Russia.
We see this decision as yet another attempt to restrict free education and international academic cooperation. Smolny Beyond Borders will continue its work.
The new status increases the risks, particularly for our students in Russia and anyone who may travel there. Their safety remains our highest priority. We are taking additional measures to protect personal data.
