Vera Ivanova to Showcase New Findings on Early 20th-Century Industrial Distribution at CERS 2025

Vera Ivanova will participate in the 9th Central European Conference in Regional Science “Sustainability-Driven Territorial Development. Challenges for CEECs.” In her presentation, she will discuss the heterogeneous distribution of manufacturing industries across the Russian Empire in the early 20th century and present the results of a comparative analysis of factory and plant locations with modern spatial patterns.

The conference will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, on 27-29 November 2025, being hosted by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Civil Engineering. The conference is co-organized with the European Regional Science Association – Romanian Regional Science Association, Polish Section, Hungarian Regional Science Association and Slovak Section of the ERSA.
