A Smolny Beyond Borders Student’s Book to Be Published by shell(f) Press

Anna Fishman — graduate of the WLAG program and the shell(f) writing workshop, co-founder of the literary magazine Nezdorovye, and active participant in Smolny Beyond Borders’ disability studies courses — has authored an autofictional work on life with chronic pain, Day by Day. Blending genres, the book delves into life in exile, the investigation of trauma, and the shifting contours of identity.

“The protagonist of Anna Fishman’s work develops a symptom with no known cause — and, more importantly, no effective treatment. She lives with a constant headache that prevents her from remaining herself.”

You can pre-order the book from the shell(f) Press website until August 18.
