Felix Jaitner is a Fellow at the Institute for Global Reconstitution in Berlin. In his research Felix focuses on Political Ecology and Extractivism, political economy and peace and conflict studies and pays particular attention to the development in the countries of Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet space. Felix has completed his Phd on resource extractivism and contested development strategies in Russia. He recently published the book “Russland. Ende einer
Weltmacht” (Russia: The End of a Global Power). Among other publications are “Crises in the post-Soviet Space (2017, Routledge). He regularly contributes to the German newspaper “Neues Deutschlands”, the German edition of Jacobin and the Croatian newspaper “Novosti”.
