Damir Malikov is the AI Lead at Kronika.technology and an ML/DS engineer with 8+ years of experience.

He builds NLP systems for media analysis and propaganda detection — mostly focused on multilingual content and non-English information ecosystems where off-the-shelf tools don’t work well. At Kronika, he leads AI across several products: RIMA, a curated archive of 8M+ articles from 149 independent media outlets; Kontekstum, a browser extension for detecting propaganda patterns; and Newsloom, a multi-agent monitoring system that tracks coordinated messaging across media landscapes. Before that, he built production computer vision systems (patented, deployed at regional scale) and eventually moved into NLP and civic tech because the problems felt more urgent.

His current work centers on NLP and the AI agents built around it, with a strong preference for projects that have real social impact.
