The course aims at providing tools for analyzing various types of civic engagement in different societies, as well as for engaging in individual or collective civic actions. Civic engagement is understood as a broad category embracing a wide range of different activities linked to a concern about a common: involvement in NGO’s activities, social media activism, human rights advocacy, informal social support, information sharing, social movements, grassroots, social and political activism.
