This course is a practical introduction to data analysis and is designed for students with various academic backgrounds who want to acquire fundamental skills in working with data. The course introduces basic methods and tools for processing and analyzing data, as well as the basics of mathematical statistics. Students will learn about the main types and formats of data, approaches to collecting, cleaning, transforming, analyzing and visualizing it, and will learn how to interpret the results of the analysis. As part of the course, students will learn how to effectively use widely adopted tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, and will also master basic programming skills in Python.
